Mardi Himal Trekking with Children is a short and quite trek in the Annapurna region which allows your children to thoroughly enjoy vivid faces of nature. Mardi Himal Trekking trail lies in the east of Annapurna Base Camp trail and offers a stunning view of snow-capped mountains such as Annapurna (8091m), Mardi Himal (5553m), Hiunchuli (6443m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), and other peaks visible form Annapurna region. This sight of exquisite beauty and purity in the off-the-beaten trails of Mardi Himal will make you and your children spellbound. 

On this short 10 days of Mardi Himal Trekking with Children, you get to trek on the solitary trail with no human settlements and only unspoiled and tranquil nature. The forests are deep, dark, and magical giving you feel no less than a fairyland. The rhododendron forests, on the other hand, are colorful and beautiful, with the pink, red and white carpet of petals on the ground. The waterfalls, suspension bridges, and many other elements are sure to make the journey interesting. Mardi Himal Trek Nepal is a hidden gem that people are yet to discover. Therefore, the trail is not crowded at all with all of the natural setting intact in its true form, giving you and your child an opportunity to feel close to nature and also to understand the importance of nature. In the lower areas of the trek, your children may get to interact with the local children of the Himalayas and maybe understand about hardships of life, and find beauty in simple living. Petting the horses, yaks, donkeys, dogs, and other animals of the Himalayas, the children will forget all the pain and fatigue of this moderate trek.

Mardi Himal Trekking Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1338m
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, we will pick you up and transfer you to hotel. After resting at the hotel for some time you can utilize your time to walk around the inner gullies of Kathmandu. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara 820m/25 minutes and drive to Kande 1770m and trek to Deurali 2100m/4 hours
After breakfast, we will travel to Pokhara through a 25 minutes flight over the beautiful landscape. From the Pokhara airport, we drive to Kande which takes about 1 hour. As we start our trekking from Kande, we will first reach Australian Camp, a pretty village with marvelous views of the Annapurna, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri ranges. A total of 3 hours walk will take us to Pothana and onwards to Deurali through the rhododendron forest. Overnight at a lodge in Deurali.

Day 3: Trek from Deurali to Forest Camp 2520m/5-6 hours
From Deurali, we walk through trails colored in red with rhododendron. Trekking uphill with a view of Machhapuchhre (6993m). Continuing our trek on flag-stone steps, we walk uphill with the view of the Gurung village of Landruk. After trekking for a total of about 5-6 hours, we reach Forest Camp. Your children will thoroughly enjoy the mystical woods and serene views of the mountains and the small settlements, en route. Overnight at a lodge in Forest Camp.

Day 4: Trek from Forest Camp to Badal Danda 3268m via Low Camp 2970m/5-6 hours
From Forest Camp, we start ascending uphill. The trail is interesting with lush bamboo, rhododendron and oak forests, and silent trails. As there are no settlements on the way, the trek will be pleasantly peaceful with just the chirping of birds and whistling of the Modi River flowing in distance. On reaching Low Camp after 4-5 hours of walk, you can enjoy peaceful and quality time with your children, looking at the mountains and the clear sky. Overnight at a lodge in Badal Danda.

Day 5: Trek from Badal Danda to High Camp 3540m/4-5 hours
This day has a lot of uphill climbs. Walking over lush green grass slopes will be a joyful moment. As we move upwards, the silver mountains will reign over the skyline whereas the river and valleys make for pleasant scenery below. The journey to High Camp takes about 4-5 hours. Overnight at a lodge in High Camp.

Day 6: Explore from High Camp — Upper View Point 4200m — High Camp 5-6 hours
On this day, we will reach the highest altitude of the trek at Upper View Point (4200m). From High Camp, we hike up to Upper View Point and then return back to High Camp. In case of snowfall, the trail gets even more exciting and challenging. In case of clear weather, you can enjoy the radiance of the mountains. From Upper View Point, we will be greeted with an amazing vista of Annapurna I (8091m), Mardi Himal (5553m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), Gandharwa Chuli (6248m), Annapurna South (7219m), Gangapurna (7454m), and other Himalayas of Annapurna region. After relishing the view for some time, we hike back to High Camp for the overnight stay. Overnight at a lodge in High Camp. 

Day 7: Trek from High Camp to Siding village 1700m/5-6 hours
From High Camp, we will slowly start to return. We trace our way back to Low Camp with the mountains on the backdrop. Descending on Nange Danda across several small streams, we arrive in Siding. Siding is a village rich in culture and also the first settlement you enter after the trek in the quite terrain. Thus, this place can be a great place to keep the children occupied. Overnight at a lodge in Siding.

Day 8: Trek from Siding to Lumre 1300m/3 hours and drive to Pokhara 2 hours 
From Siding, we head towards Lumre following Mardi Khola downstream. The day has a short trail of about 3 hours. On reaching Lumre, we will drive on our private 4WD to reach Pokhara. The drive to Pokhara will be of about 2 hours. You can enjoy around the Lakeside in the evening. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Pokhara.

Day 9: Morning Hike to World Peace Stupa and afternoon fly back to Kathmandu
After a successful trek to the Mardi Himal, we hike one more day to the World Peace Stupa. World Peace Stupa is a peaceful Buddhist shrine from where you can get a bird's eye view of Phewa Lake and whole Pokhara Valley along with the stunning panorama of the Annapurna massif and Machhapuchhre (6993m). In the afternoon, we will fly back to Kathmandu and our staff will drop you at hotel. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu. 

Day 10: Final Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast in hotel, our staff will drop you off at the airport to connect you with your flight back to home or other destination.
