Day Hikes from Pokhara is one of the shortest and easy hiking holiday around Pokhara valley. Besides being one of the major city of the Himalayan kingdom of Nepal, is the place from where one can start the most exciting treks to the Annapurna region, which is seen hanging out in front of you as you enter the Pokhara. These mountains are just 30 — 40 km away from Pokhara. Trekking in Pokhara is very new and started only three decades ago. Annapurna was the first mountain in Nepal to be climbed in 1950, before Everest, which afterwards attracted the people from all over the world. After the successful climb of the Annapurna the attention of the world came to Pokhara as its scenic beauty couldn’t be overlooked. Pokhara was soon the destination of all tourists who visited Nepal and within three decades it has become the major tourist attraction after Kathmandu. One of the major attraction that fetch tourists is trekking. Since Pokhara is the best place to set out to the rural villages that are lying in the mountains, many tourists visit Pokhara each year for this purpose. Itinerary in detail
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and you will be met at the airport by our representative who will be waiting with a Swiss Family Treks sign outside the terminal and transfer to Hotel by private car. Welcome drink and after you settle into the hotel there will be a group briefing with your tour leader. He will discuss the trek details and co-ordinate any last minute arrangements. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara 820m/25 minutes and drive to Nagdanda 1430m/ 1 hour driving,
Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara by scenic mountain flight including Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu Range, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna Massif and Machhpuchhre (Fishtail) which takes 25 minutes to arrive in Pokhara. Then our car will pick you up from the Pokhara airport and drive to Nagdanda which takes around 45 minutes and transfer to Himalayan Deurali Resort which have all the rooms are spacious private balcony where you can enjoy the most breathtaking views from the comforts of your own room. You can see the most splendid sunrise and sunsets views with wide range of high Himalayas. Stay overnight at Himalayan Deurali Resort.
Day 03: Himalayan Deurali Resort to Australian Camp (Duration 5.30 hrs alt. 2060m),
Today after breakfast, the starting point of this day hike is Kande which you can reach 45 minutes walk from Himalayan Deurali Resort. A gentle climb with stone staircase from Kande through the villages and forests will take you to Australian Camp where you will have great mountain views of the Annapurna Range and Machhpuchhre. From Australian Camp you continue to Dhampus, a picturesque village, the most photographed in the Pokhara valley. Leaving Dhampus you descend to Phedi with steep stone staircase where a car will take you back to Himalayan Deurali Resort. Stay overnight at Himalayan Deurali Resort.
Day 04: Paudoor Kot Day Hike (Duration 4hr alt.1800m),
Paudoor Kot is the place where you can see sunrise, sunset and panoramic views of snowcapped mountain range from Dhawalagiri to Manaslu. A walk start from Himalayan Deurali Resort through the village of different communities and culture like Gurung, Newars, Biswa Karma & Brahmins with the view of mountain will take you to Paudoor Kot. Then same way back and stay overnight at Himalayan Deurali Resort.
Day 05: Kaskikot (Duration 4hr alt. 1788m),
It just lies north of Fewa Lake and West of Pokhara after Sarangkot. The village is located on a mountainside ridge at an altitude of 1788m with panoramic Himalayan views. From Kaskikot, on the northern direction Dhawalagiri can be seen in the far west. Annapurna range is clearly visible on the same side. On the Eastern direction the village overlooks the city of Pokhara after panoramic Fewa Lake. A walk start from Himalayan Deurai Resort through the Jungle with the view of mighty Himalayan range of Annapurna. From Kasikot you continue to Himalayan Deurali resort through the village of different communities and culture like Gurung, Newars, Biswa Karma & Brahmins. Stay overnight at Himalayan Deurali Resort.
Day 06: Morning after breakfast, drive from Resort to Pokhara for shopping and walking around Lake Side Area and afternoon transfer to Pokhara Airport, then flight back to Kathmandu, then transfer to Hotel by private car. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 07: Final Departure from Kathmandu
Your trip will come to an end today after breakfast. Your leader will be on hand to advise and assist with your onward travel arrangements and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by our private van around 3 hours before your flight schedule and flight back to your home/other travel destination.
