“This trek, the Gandhruk Loop, is just amazing. Every corner of the dirt roads so staircases bring a new flash of wonderful mountains. The Annapurna massif is just a marvel to the eyes. Waking up at a lodge and having a peak to one of this mountains is a bless from heaven.”

We really did have such a fantastic time. Beautiful landscape, quiet trek and lovely people to spend the journey with. We are very thankful for your time to put this trip together so nicely for us.

We enjoyed our trip to Langtang very much, even if it was raining a lot. Anyway, we had the possibility to see the mountains on one day and managed to climb the Kyanjin Ri. We enjoyed the company of our guide and porter, they were very friendly and helpful and gave a lot of information about the valley, nature and people. Thanks a lot for the organisation, We felt very comfortable and in good hands with your team!

Thanks so much for organizing such a fantastic holiday - the Annapurna trek was amazing and Sarah loved the elephants at Chitwan. We will definitely be back.

The scenery was amazing and trekking through cultural land gave us very interesting insights into the rural life in Western Nepal. Above all, the trek was really of the beaten tracks — we did not encounter any other tourists for more than two weeks. Having been prepared for a different trek, our guide and crew had to improvise — but they came up with a good program and they managed to find great picnic areas and camping sites. Our crew was just wonderful: friendly, helpful, funny, hardworking and always smiling.

For the second time you’ve now organized a fantastic trek in the Himalaya for us, and we are glad to count on your reliable and professional services for our next trek in the area. Bhutan is a beautiful country and the combined 10 days Jomolhari — Druk Path trek was amazing. We got a first impression of the country’s deep spiritualism when we hiked up to the Tiger Nest on the first day — a monastery perched high up in the cliffs over Paro valley.

During the planning phase, Stephan and his team replied patiently to all our questions and gave us some useful hints about Nepal. Once we arrived in Kathmandu, we felt right away that the SFT Team really cared about us and that our trip went well. The beautiful mountain scenery, the tiny villages high up in the mountain and the friendly Nepali people let us quickly forget our problems back home. Thank you SFT for the great time we had in Nepal. It was the time of our life...

We had a great trek in Nepal thanks to your good team and organization. Lalu was a very good guide, and had done a great job getting us rooms with attached bathroom and hot water in all the lodges! We also really enjoyed the porters' company - especially Ronik - He has a special ability to be with children and Paul just loved walking with him. We would very much like to come back for another trek next year - and we would love to go with these guys again.
The horse and the horseman (Vijay) were also very good and Paul really enjoyed riding it. We also really enjoyed the sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley and we had a good guide for this too. Our general impression is however that your agency is very well run and that you offer quality services which gave us an experience for life. We will come back and do treks in Nepal in the future, and will recommend Swiss Family Treks to everybody we meet who want to do family trekking in Nepal!

Grade (Easy)
Easy trekking by Himalayan standards is generally up to 2000m. There are plenty of ups and downs on well-maintained trails. This type of trip is best suited for those who lead a reasonably active life. The trek takes about 3 to 7 days, walking about 4 to 5 hours a day.

These treks must be fully supported. We climb to altitudes between 3500 and 5000m. & there are overnight stays at altitudes above 4000m. For this trek, trekkers should be fit & enthusiastic hill walkers prepared to tackle difficult terrain in remote areas.

This trek is best described as Alpine, and suitable is suitable for those in excellent health, capable of carrying a backpack, when required. The trek covers very remote areas, traveling over snow-covered passes at an altitudes of up to 6500m. You will need to axes and crampons.
