How disappointed I was when my Himalaya trek with an English company fell through.  Googling ‘trekking in Nepal with kids’ bought me to the site of ‘Swiss Family Trekking’.  What a great find and I am so glad the original holiday was cancelled.  My 11 year old son and I had the most fantastic holiday in Nepal.  As well as trekking in the most amazing landscapes of Annapurna Conservation Area (Ghorepani, Poon Hill, Ghandruck) with a lovely guide, we also enjoyed, hot springs a spa hotel, jungle exploration, elephant rides, white water rafting, cultural experiences and made new friends. I cannot recommend SFT highly enough for the prompt response to my many questions, the tailor made itinerary that covered everything we wanted and more, and the smooth and efficient organisation from the moment we arrived at Kathmandu airport the airport to the time our bags were checked in to leave.  We felt truly looked after.  And not to forget, great value for money. We loved Nepal and will definitely come back, and it will certainly be with SFT again.  Thank you Stephan, and team.

We had a great trek in Nepal thanks to your good team and organization. Lalu was a very good guide, and had done a great job getting us rooms with attached bathroom and hot water in all the lodges! We also really enjoyed the porters' company - especially Ronik - He has a special ability to be with children and Paul just loved walking with him. We would very much like to come back for another trek next year - and we would love to go with these guys again. The horse and the horseman (Vijay) were also very good and Paul really enjoyed riding it. We also really enjoyed the sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley and we had a good guide for this too. Our general impression is however that your agency is very well run and that you offer quality services which gave us an experience for life. We will come back and do treks in Nepal in the future, and will recommend Swiss Family Treks to everybody we meet who want to do family trekking in Nepal!

Dear Ashta and Stephan
Currently waiting at Kathmandu airport for my delayed flight to Dhaka so thought I would use the time and free wi-fi to send my feedback on the trip. Basically, really excellent, Ashta was a great guide especially in helping me to get my Bangladesh visa and flight sorted out last week — many thanks. The treks were beautiful, and also an easy introduction to trekking for those without much experience or any wish to overdo it. It was also great to intersperse the walking with some interesting sights enroute — obviously it was a real bonus that the Yartang festival was on. The region was definitely a great choice for the rainy season so I would highly recommend your company for putting together the itinerary as well as the guiding and organisation.  Ashta asked that I send some photos. I am sure you have plenty of the amazing scenery so have sent some of the Yartang festival and a nice one of my view at breakfast in Pokhara— feel free to use them if you wish. I'm sorry for the delay in responding to you. I've been working on updating our blog with photos as I thought I would just share this with you.  We write this to keep up with our friends and family back home.
So, a much belated thank you for your hospitality that first afternoon in Kathmandu and for the planning that went into our wonderful trip to Nepal. You can read in the blog about our adventure, and we certainly will pass along your company's work to friends considering a trip to Nepal. One request we have of you - as I think you know, the horse we had contracted for daily support. Thank you again for all of your help - perhaps our paths will cross again someday.

Gerne denken wir zurück an unseren Nepal-Urlaub. Wir waren fasziniert von der Natur, der Kultur und den freundlichen Menschen. Dank der guten Organisation und Betreuung durch SFT haben wir uns von Anfang an wohl gefühlt. Dies gilt sowohl für das Sightseeing im Kathmandu-Tal als auch für den Poonhill Trek. Auch mit den Kindern haben wir uns zu jeder Zeit sehr sicher und sehr gut betreut gefühlt. Sowohl unser Guide als auch die Träger waren sehr nett, sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Besonders bedanken möchten wir uns bei ihnen nochmal für die Organisation der Geburtstagstorte und der Kinderbetreuung während wir frühmorgens den Poonhill erklommen haben. Vielen Dank auch dir Stephan für die Gastfreundschaft und die vielen guten Tipps. Insgesamt eine gelungene Reise. Gerne empfehlen wir Euch weiter und kommen auch wieder.

Thank you so, so much for a wonderful holiday. We trekked the Poon Hill circuit with our two young children. It was so brilliant. Our guide, Modern, was very gentle and wonderful with the kids. Our daughter choose to walk with him every day, saying he was better at helping her down the steep bits than I was :) Our kids also loved Caloo our surefooted mountain pony who helped carry the kids when their legs got too tired!!!The horseman was fantastic. Our porters looked after us so well. All the staff were helpful, kind and really just fantastic and helped make our trip brilliant.Every part of the trip was well planned and executed. We did not have to worry about anything and could just enjoy the mountains and the people we met. I would highly recommend Swiss Family Treks, Take your kids and go trekking with this great company. We stumbled upon the Swiss Family Treks website while researching family friendly Nepal holidays. We are so grateful that we chose them as our tour facilitators.  Their friendly, prompt and detailed responses throughout our pre-trip communication was professional and appreciated.  Our guides (Deepak and Hem) were outstanding: friendly, knowledgable, great with our children, flexible and helpful. We enjoyed each part of our itinerary immensely. Our itinerary was created keeping the young ages of our children in mind and Stefan did a great job with his recommendations and suggestions.  Our family adventure to Nepal was one of the best vacations we have ever taken. The hotels were clean and simple, and we were informed that the restaurants suggested were already visited by Swiss Family Treks to ensure high standards. Stefan and his team did an amazing job planning and executing our adventure and we are beyond grateful for their efforts. It was also a treat for our family to dine with Stefan and Viana in their beautiful, warm home - what a special touch.
