The 10 days Horseback Riding Trek to Everest Panorama with Children or without lies inside Sagarmatha National Park and takes you up to Tengboche at an altitude of 3860m where you can visit Tengboche Monastery, the most sacred monastery for the Sherpa community in Khumbu region. Throughout the trek, you can cherish the beautiful mountainous landscape made up of Mt. Everest (8848.86m), Mt. Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Ama Dablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku (6623m), Mt. Nuptse (7861m), etc. The trail of your horseback ride is as beautiful as the mountainous views. The rhododendron, oak, and pine forests make the route enchanting and magical. # Important Notice for domestic flight to and from Lukla
Due to avoid air traffic congestion at Kathmandu Airport and for smooth flights operation, the Lukla flights shall be operated from Ramechhap (Manthali) Airport effective from Spring (March 25 to May 31, 2026) and Autumn (September 25 to November 30, 2026).
In this matter, you need 1 buffer day to manage all transfer to and from Manthali Airport (OR we adjust the program on Day 2 that you will do the guided sightseeing tour in Kathmandu and later in the afternoon, transfer to Mulkot). We would like to suggest you for driving to Mulkot which is 3 hours driving away from Kathmandu and spend a night there at a hotel, then next morning an hour of driving brings you at Manthali Airport to catch the flights to Lukla. On return, you can fly to Manthali Airport and same day drive back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1338m
Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our company representative will be there pick you up. The driver will bring you to the 4-star hotel for your overnight stay. In the evening, you can take a cool evening walk in the streets of Thamel. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Full Day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu Valley by private van
On the second day, you will be taken on a guided tour around Kathmandu Valley in a private van. In the early morning, we will take a tour around Swayambhunath Temple, also famously known as The Monkey Temple. Then, we will visit other World Heritage Sites including Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Touring around the three ancient palaces of Kathmandu Valley, you will be more familiar with the history and culture of Kathmandu. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Kathmandu to Lukla 2840m by Flight and ride and trek to Phakding 2610m/3-4 hours riding
Our adventure begins on the 3rd day as we fly from Kathmandu to Lukla in early morning. The 45 minutes flight will be a wonderful experience filled with anticipation, fear, and excitement. After reaching Lukla, we will meet our horses and the rest of the crew. Then we ride and trek through the forests for about 3-4 hours to reach Phakding. Overnight at a lodge in Phakding.
Day 4: Ride and trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3440m/5-6 hours riding
On the 4th day, we travel from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. We will be on our horses but will be required to trek on steep trails. Passing through the beautiful pine forests and breathtaking landscape, we enter Sagarmatha National Park. We will pass by beautiful Sherpa villages like Monjo and Jorsalle. Crossing Bhote Koshi River on several suspension bridges, we reach at Namche Bazaar in less than 5 hours in horseback ride. We get an amazing panorama of Everest (8848.86m) as we enter the town of Namche. Overnight at a lodge in Namche Bazaar.
Day 5: Acclimatization Day
On this day, we will rest in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize to the weather and the altitude. We will hike to Everest View Hotel for the most stunning view of Everest (8848m) along with other peaks of Khumbu region, and descend down to Khumjung, the largest Sherpa village in Khumbu. Khumjung is also home to an ancient monastery that has a Skull of Yeti on display for the onlookers. There are other monasteries and a Sherpa Museum in Namche Bazaar, the Gateway to Everest, where you can get to learn about the culture of the Himalayas. Overnight at a lodge in Namche Bazaar.
Day 6: Ride and trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche 3860m/4-5 hours riding
From Namche Bazaar, we descend to Dudh Koshi River passing through rhododendron forests and beautiful villages. After reaching the river bed, we ascend for a few hours, to reach the village of Tengboche. Tengboche is also the highest altitude we reach during this trek. Tengboche is home to one of the largest monasteries in Khumbu region. Enjoying a beautiful view of mountains like Everest (8848.86m), Ama Dablam (6856m), Lhotse (8516m), Nuptse (7861m), and many more, we will spend our night at lodge in Tengboche. Overnight at a lodge in Tengboche.
Day 7: Ride and trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar 3440m/4-5 hours riding
From the 7th day, we will gradually begin our return. On our horses, we will return from Tengboche to Namche Bazaar, following the beautiful path along the forests, villages, suspension bridges and rivers. Following Dudh Koshi River downstream, we pass through the villages of Phunke Tenga and Kyangjuma to arrive in Namche Bazaar. We will have a beautiful vista of Everest (8848.86m) and adjacent mountains accompany us throughout the trek. Overnight at a lodge in Namche Bazaar.
Day 8: Ride and trek from Namche to Lukla 2840m/6-7 hours riding
From Namche Bazaar, we will slowly descend towards Lukla. Crossing the suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River, we gradually reach Jorsalle. We then cross a couple of suspension bridges over Bhote Koshi River to exit Sagarmatha National Park and arrive in Monjo. Crossing Phakding and other villages, we reach Lukla in about 6-7 hours of horse ride and trek for our overnight stay in Lukla. Overnight at a lodge in Lukla.
Day 9: An early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu 1338m/45 minutes
We will board the flight from Lukla as early as possible, depending upon the weather and flight traffic. Since the flight is only 45 minutes long, you will have plenty of time to visit some of the places around Kathmandu. Overnight at a 4-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 10: Final Departure from Kathmandu
On the final day of your trip, after breakfast in hotel, we will drop you to Tribhuvan International Airport to connect you with your scheduled flight back to home.
