Horseback Riding Trek to Annapurna Panorama (with children or without) starts with your arrival in Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. From Kathmandu, you take a scenic flight over the countryside to the beautiful city of Pokhara. A short drive from Pokhara takes you to Phedi, which is the starting point of the trek. The trail takes you past gushing rivers, waterfalls, and terraced farms, and also takes you through dense rhododendron and pine forests. The Gurung village of Ghandruk is one of the major highlights of this trek. The Gurung museum and the breathtaking views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) are the main attractions of Ghandruk. Your children can also have fun dressing up in the traditional Gurung attire in the Gurung Museum. Another highlight of this trek is the sunrise view seen from Poon Hill (3210 m), which hosts a jaw-dropping view of the high Himalayas, including the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Many villages of the Gurung and Magar inhabitants are reached throughout the trek giving the children an opportunity to observe the rural life closely. Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu 1338m

The trip starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. Upon arrival at the airport, our company representative will welcome you and take you to the hotel for your overnight stay. Overnight at a 4 star hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara, drive to Phedi 35 minutes and ride and trek with Horse to Dhampus 1650m/2 hours
Take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara for 25 minutes. From Pokhara, a private car will take you to Phedi from where the trek begins. Climb the stone staircase through the forest, all the way to Dhampus. You pass through traditional villages and terraced rice fields before reaching Dhampus. Enjoy a stunning view of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) from Dhampus Gurung village. Overnight at a lodge in Dhampus.

Day 3: Ride and trek with Horse from Dhampus to Landruk Village 1565m/6 hours
Today’s ride and trek take you to another Gurung village in the Annapurna region, Landruk. It will be a quiet journey through the lush green forests of rhododendron. You can enjoy the views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) as you ascend on the flagstone steps. The village of Landruk is well known for its ethnic culture and hospitality along with the stunning panorama of snow-capped mountains. Overnight at a lodge in Landruk.

Day 4: Ride and trek with Horse from Landruk Village to Ghandruk Village 1940m/5 hours
First, you descend to Modi Khola and cross the suspension bridge. Then you follow the uphill trail and make your way to the Gurung village of Ghandruk. Ghandruk has many lodges, traditional stone houses, and a Gurung museum. You can see the closest views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre (6997m) from here. Overnight at a lodge in Ghandruk.

Day 5: Ride and trek with Horse from Ghandruk Village to Tadapani 2590m/4 hours
You leave Ghandruk and follow the trail that takes you through the rhododendron, oak and maple forests. After arriving in Bhaise Kharka, you stop for lunch. Then you make an uphill climb to reach Tadapani. The village offers great views of Annapurna South (7219m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), and Hiunchuli Peak (6441m). Overnight at a lodge in Tadapani.

Day 6: Ride and trek with Horse from Tadapani to Ghorepani 2750m/6 hours
A short ride through the forest and across small streams leads to a steep climb to Deurali (3090m). After lunch in Deurali, you follow the flat trail through the bamboo bushes and then make a sharp descent to arrive in Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a big settlement with Gurung and Magar inhabitants, which provides amazing views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight at a lodge in Ghorepani.

Day 7: Ride and trek with Horse from Ghorepani to Tikhedhunga 1540m/5 hours
The day starts with a hike to Poon Hill (3210 m) to observe the stunning sunrise over the high Himalayas, including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs. Later, you hike back to Ghorepani and continue to ride and trek through a forested path filled with rhododendron. We then descend steeply on a stone staircase to Bhurungdi Khola where we cross a suspension bridge to reach Tikhedunga. Overnight at a lodge in Tikhedunga.

Day 8: Ride and trek with Horse from Tikhedunga to Nayapul 1070m/3 hours and drive to Pokhara 820m/2 hours
For our last day of riding trip, we ride to Nayapul, gently descending to the village of Birethanti on the bank of Modi Khola. We then cross the new bridge to reach the pick-up point at Nayapul. From Nayapul, we take a short drive to Pokhara and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at a 5-star hotel in Pokhara.

Day 9: Morning Hike to World Peace Stupa and afternoon fly back to Kathmandu,
In the morning, you hike to World Peace Stupa, from where, you can get a panoramic view of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna South (7219m), Machhapuchhre (6997m), and several other mountain peaks. Then you walk down to Phewa Lake and cross the lake on a boat. Later, an afternoon flight will take you to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to hotel for the overnight stay. Overnight at a 4 star hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Final Departure from Kathmandu
After breakfast at hotel in the morning, the 10-day trip comes to an end. Our company representative will take you to the airport 3 hours before your flight schedule.
