Itinerary in details
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival in Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and you will be met at the airport by our representative who will be waiting with a Swiss Family Treks sign outside the terminal and transfer to Hotel by private car. Welcome drink and after you settle into the hotel there will be a group briefing with your tour leader. He will discuss the trek details and co-ordinate any last minute arrangements. Stay overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: Full Day Guided Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu Valley by private van.
After brekafast in the hotel, Drive to Swayambhunath Stupa which is very close form the centre of Kathmandu. It takes some minutes to be there. This Temple is also known as Monkey Temple which is considered to be self made Stupa. Then visit to Boudhanath Stupa: the biggest stupa in Nepal and one of the bigger stupa in the world. You can basically experience Tibetan Buddhism, culture and way of life in Boudhanath Area. Boudhanath area is the authentic place to buy Tibetan stuffs. Again you will be visit Pashupatinath Temple and it is one of the most sacred temples in the entire Hindu world. It is a sacred place where Hindus come to die and to be cremated. The temple of Pashupatinath is a large double roofed, gilt pagoda, decorated with brass, the gateway is plated with silver. There are images of Shiva along with other statues, shrines and temples dedicated to other deities in the complex. A circuit of the Pashupati area takes visitors past a sixth-century statue of the Buddha, an eight-century statue of Brahma the creator and numerous other temples. There are rows of Shiva shrines and Hindu pilgrims from all over south Asia offering ceremonies to worship Shiva, the Lord of Destruction. Stay overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal with a private vehicle (40min) and trek to Chisapani 2215m 3-4hours.
Panoramic view of the Kathmandu valley and on mountains such as Jugal, Ganesh Himal & Langtang range and beautiful sub tropical forests as well as the Tamang settlements on the way. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 4: Trek from Chisapani to Kutumsang 2470m (5-6h).
Buddhist monuments like large Chortens, monasteries and maniwalls can be seen on the way as well as scattered Brahman and Chhetri villages in Gul Banjyang. The most beautiful time for the rhododendron forest is from march to april, blooming flowers in all kinds of colours! Stay overnight at Lodge.
Day 5: Trek from Kutumsang to Mangengoth 3220m (5-6h).
Follow the oak and rhododendron forest and chortens. Stay overnight at Lodge.
Day 6: Trek from Mangengoth to Melamchi Gaun 2530m (4-5h).
Finally we reach the Sherpa village. Then we visit the beautiful monastery in Melamchi Gaun. In this village the Sherpa people are different than in Solukhumbu, but the culture, religion and social value is the same because they follow all the tibetan Buddhism. Stay overnight at Lodge.
Day 7: Trek from Melamchi Gaun to Tarke Ghyang 2740m (3-4h).
Climb down to the Melamchi river and climb up to Tarke Ghyang village. It is the largest and picturesque Sherpa village in this area and it is also known as Yolmo village. We have to visit the ancient monastery there because this is the biggest. Gompa in this area. Stay overnight at Lodge.
Day 8: Trek from Tarke Ghyang to Yangri Peak 3770m to Gangjawal 2770m (3-4h).
Follow the way up till to Yangri peak or the white peak because this is a one of the nice and best view point for all Langtang range, Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, Dorje Lakpa, Gangchhembu and many more. Than continue till Gangjawal. Visit another ancient monastery there. Stay overnight at Lodge.
Day 9: Trek from Gangjawal to Kakani 1996m (3-4h).
This day we should visit two ancient monasteries in Sermanthang village and it is also beautiful Sherpa village. Mani wall and Chortens are on your trail. A very beautiful Statue of Guru Rinpoche you'll find on your left handside on the way down to Kakani. He 'sits' on a little hill and is sponsored by Khenpo Namdrol's Padmasambhava Global Project for World Peace. Stay overnight at Lodge.
Day 10: Trek from Kakani to Melamchi Pul/ Bazar 870m (3-4h) and drive to Kathmandu by private vehicle (4-5h) and transfer to Hotel.
Day 11: Final Departure from Kathmandu
Your trip will come to an end today after breakfast. Your leader will be on hand to advise and assist with your onward travel arrangements and transfer to Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport by our private van around 3 hours before your flight schedule and flight back to your home/other travel destination.
