Days: 14 / Difficulty: 2 of 5 (Moderate)
Min Group Size: 1 / Max Group Size: 8

Guerrilla Trek is one of the newest trekking routes, which traverses through the remotest areas of the western part of Nepal in Rukum and Rolpa region. The trek is named as Guerrilla Trek as it features the trails used by Maoists during the Nepalese Civil War that ended in 2006. Trekking in the Guerrilla route offers an exhilarating experience for anyone who is curious about the ways of life the Maoist cadres led in the rugged terrain. Guerrilla Trek, along with scenic panoramas, allows the trekkers to interact with the innocent locals untouched by the realms of modernization.

The 14 days long Guerrilla Trek starts upon your arrival in the country. The trek begins from Beni leading to Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, which is the only legal hunting reserve in Nepal, then to Myagdi, Rukum, and Rolpa which were the conflicted region during the war. The trail goes through Jaljala Pass (3107m) which hosts stunning panorama of Api (7132m), Saipal (7031m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna (8091m), and the other Himalayas. Guerrilla Trek also features unique cultures varying in different locations throughout the trek. The trek walks through lush forests of rhododendron, fir, pine, birch, juniper, oak, and hemlock to come across the settlements of Thakali, Tibetan, Chhetri, Brahmin, and Magar ethnics. The trek along the historic trails of the Maoist cadres also highlights the struggles of people living in the tough terrain. Guerrilla Trek will definitely offer an exhilarating experience to the trekkers.
