The trek to reach Khopra Ridge starts from Kathmandu with an 8-9 hour drive to Pokhara. There is also an option for a 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Difficulty of Trek
Khopra Ridge community trek is considered to be moderate in terms of difficulty. The trekking route is long and steep at some points, which can be challenging for novice trekkers. Trekkers need to have a good endurance level as they must trek for at least 4-5 hours every day. The 14 days trek takes you up to 4500m of elevation. The trek does require a level of physical fitness. Swimming, jogging, and track activities can be done before the trek to have lesser physical strain.

Exchanging foreign currency to local currency is required for any mountain trekking adventure in Nepal and travel insurance. Also, make sure to have an appointment with your doctor before travel so that you can be aware of any kinds of medical emergencies.

Best Season - Spring/Autumn/Winter 
Khopra Ridge Trek can be enjoyed in all seasons except for the monsoon season. Autumn (September to December) and spring (March to May) are the best times to enjoy any Nepal's trekking activity, including Khopra Ridge Trek. The sight of stunning mountain ranges can be enjoyed tastefully because of high visibility. Winter is also a perfect season for the trek to view the freshly snowed mountain tops.

Trek Route 
The exciting 14 days trekking journey starts from the bustling city of Kathmandu. After spending a night in Kathmandu, you take a scenic flight to Pokhara, where a mesmerizing panorama of mountains instantly surrounds you. A short drive from Pokhara takes you to Kimche, from where you start the journey on foot.

The short trek to Ghandruk from Kimche is filled with the panorama of stunning mountain ranges like Mt. Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Annapurna Range. The same stunning mountain backdrop follows till Tadapani from where the actual off-beaten trails start. 

Upon reaching Khopra ridge through the Annapurna Region's thrilling terrains, you are met with the lovely view of Annapurna South. On the 7th day, after a warm coffee cup in the lodge, the trekking route reaches the stunning Kaire Lake (4500m). Excursion around the glistening lake takes almost 8-9 hours, where you can enjoy the view of lovely mountain panoramas. The remaining days are spent trekking down to Pokhara through the beautiful Swanta village, Mohare Danda, Nangi, and Galeshwor. For the last day, you take a hike to the World Peace Stupa for the breathtaking bird's eye view of Pokhara valley and Fewa Lake. The short flight back to Kathmandu from Pokhara signals the end of your trek.  

If you wish, you can also take the alternate route from Galeshwor, passing through the scenic Poon Hill along the way. This route connects back to the main route of Ghorepani Trek in Tadapani. Or you can choose the more secluded route that starts from Tatopani.

Accommodation: Staying at Community Lodges/Homestays
Most, if not all, available in the trekking route is small community lodges and homestays. The residents mostly run these. The rooms provided will often be one-bed bedrooms with a pair of warm blankets and a pair of pillows. These homestays are the perfect chance for travelers to get a taste of life in Nepal's rural areas. The stay is made even more enjoyable in the presence of welcoming hosts who live by the rule that "all visitors are a form of blessing."

Food: Locally grown and organic foods

From here, you can view 25 mountain summits' marvelous sight, including the spectacular view of Fewa Lake. The mountain ranges include Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, Nilgiri, Lamjung Himal, and many more.
  • Khopra Ridge or Danda :- The jaw-dropping view from Khopra Ridge is the highlight of the trek. The ridge lies at the altitude of 3660m from where you come across the beautiful 360-degree view of Nilgiri, Annapurna South, Bara Shikhar, Tukuche peak, Mt. Dhaulagiri, along with a myriad of smaller snow-covered beauties. The whole two days of the ridge trek is filled with the eye-catching panorama of mountains on both sides.
  • Mohare Hill or Danda :- Mohare Danda (or Mohare Hill) is also one of the best view-points of the trek. It lies at an altitude of 3300m from sea level. From the view-point you can enjoy the picturesque view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Nilgiri and so on. At springtime, the forests surrounding the trek are dyed in the beautiful red color by the blooming Rhododendrons, making the view even more enthralling.
