Itinerary in detail
Day 1: Kathmandu-Sundarijal-Chisapani (Walking Distance: 10KM)
This 3-day hike starts with a pick-up from your hotel, followed by a scenic one-hour drive to Sundarijal in a private vehicle. The 5 to 6 hours hike from Sundarijal to Chisapani begins as the rugged road transforms into a picturesque trail near a small hydroelectric plant. Traverse through the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve, encountering the Tamang settlement of Mulkharka. We stop for early lunch. Ascend through a forest adorned with oaks and rhododendrons, leading to a ridge offering stunning views. Chisapani (2,215m) welcomes you with captivating sunset/sunrise panoramas, showcasing snow-capped peaks such as Jugal, Ganesh, Langtang, Annapurna, Manaslu, Dorje Lakpa, and Gauri Shankar. Enjoy an overnight stay at a Lodge/Hotel in Chisapani.
Day 2: Chisapani-Jhule-Nagarkot (Walking Distance: 23KM)
Day two unfolds with a 7 to 8 hours trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot. Begin your day by marveling at the morning northern mountain views as you hike from Chisapani to Jhule/Chauki Bhanjyang in approximately 3.5 hours walking and stop for lunch. Follow delightful trails leading to the renowned destination of Nagarkot (2,175m). In clear weather, witness in a panoramic Himalayan vista, spanning from Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east. Nagarkot's awe-inspiring majesty and beauty greet visitors with a sense of wonder. Enjoy an overnight stay at a Hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 3: Nagarkot-Changunarayan-Kathmandu (Walking Distance: 10KM)
Begin your day with an early wake up to witness a captivating sunrise framed by the magnificent snowy peaks, including the regal Mt. Everest in the eastern corner. After a delightful breakfast, commence a scenic hike from Nagarkot to the ancient Changunarayan Temple via Telkot, dedicated to the Hindu god of preservation. Conclude your journey with a one-hour private vehicle transfer back to Kathmandu, where you will be dropped off at your own booking hotel.
