Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek, 8 Days

Jours: 8 / Difficulté: 2 of 5 (Modérée)

The Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek, situated on the eastern frontier of the Annapurna Base Camp, stands as an awe-inspiring journey within the Annapurna region. Initiated in 2012, this trail unveils breathtaking vistas of the Annapurna Himalayan Range, featuring majestic peaks like Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441m), and Mt. Fishtail (6,997m). Along the path, it meanders through pristine routes adorned with traditional villages and traverses forests ablaze with vibrant rhododendrons before ascending to reveal the captivating Himalayan panoramas.

Embarking from Pokhara, known as the City of Lakes, our trek commences as we drive to Kande and trek onwards to Deurali. We navigate through enchanting rhododendron forests, proceeding towards the mountain pass that overlooks the Modi Valley. Progressing through desolate landscapes and quaint settlements, the journey extends from Deurali towards Forest Camp and Badal Danda, culminating at High Camp situated at 3540m. The exploration continues through Upper View Point (4,250m) until reaching the pinnacle—Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,500m. Here, Machhapuchhre (6,993m) and Mardi Himal (5,587m) majestically pierce the azure sky, while the distant, breathtaking panorama of the Annapurna Mountain Range envelopes the surroundings. This trek offers a passage through stunning landscapes, captivating forests, and culturally rich hamlets steeped in heritage. It's a rare opportunity to encounter such a blend of cultural diversity and natural grandeur against the backdrop of the Himalayas. Ideal for seasoned trekkers and adventurers alike, the Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek promises to fill hearts with Himalayan wonder.
