It is said to be that, the prince Sidhartha Gautam, who later became Buddha after Enlightened one, was born in the Secret Garden of Lumbini in 6th century. It is believed that the Buddha himself have identified four places of future pilgrimage in the Parinirbana Sutta, namely the sites of his Birth, Enlightenment, first Discourage and Death. All of these events occurred in open under the Trees. There is another interesting to explore in Bardiya National Park for Jungle Safari/Activities. This is the best point for nature lovers experiencing with wildlife and typical culture of Tharu People.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and meet SNFT representative at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and short briefing, relax
Day 2: Full day sightseeing trip to Swayabhunath, Bouddhanath, Kopan Monastery, Pashupatinath and Kathmandu Durbar Square by private car. O/N in Hotel.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by private car. Half day sightseeing around Pokhara valley like as Devi’s Fall, Gupteswor Cave, World Peace Stupa, Tal Barahi Temple and boating on Phewa Lake by private car. O/N in Hotel.
Day 4: Drive to Sarangkot early in the morning. This is the vantage point for superb view of Annapurna Massif, Dhaulagiri Range, Machhapuchre as well as unobstructed view of sunrise and sunset. Then drive back to Mahendra cave and Bindhyabasini Temple. Again drive to pristine Begnas and Rupa Lake. O/N in Hotel.
Day 5: Drive from Pokhara to Tansen Palpa by private car. Short sightseeing trip to Ranighat, the palace built on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River by Khadka Shamsher in remembrance of his beloved wife Tej Kumari. O/N in Lodge.
Day 6: Full day sightseeing trip to ancient Tansen town, Tundikhel, beautiful three storey pagoda style Amarganj Ganesh Temple, another largest and three storey pagoda style Amarnarayan Temple as well as the dry stone masonry wall which is called “the great wall of Palpa”, white octagonal shaped Sital Pati, the vantage point of Shreenagar Hill from where breathtaking Himalayan scenery from Dhaulagiri in the west to Ganesh Himal in the east, another worth visiting places Ramdi, Ridi, Bhairabsthan and Satyawati Lake by private car. O/N in Lodge.
Day 7: Drive from Tansen to Lumbini by private car. Half days sightseeing in Lumbini like as Secret Garden, Maya Devi Temple where Buddha’s Mother giving birth to him, ashokan Pillar which was erected by Emperor Ashoka to commemorate his pilgrimage to the sacred site, Puskarani or Holy Pond where Queen Mayadevi had taken a bath just before giving birth to the Buddha. O/N in Hotel.
Day 8: Full day sightseeing trip to some of ancient Monasteries, village tour, Lumbini museum, religious and archaeological sites at Gotihawa, Kudan, Tilaurakot, Niglihawa, Sagarhawa, Devadaha, Ramagrama. O/N in Hotel.
Day 9: Drive from Lumbini to Royal Bardiya Wildlife Reserve for Jungle Safari by car and transfer to Resort. Welcome drink and joining the Jungle Safari/Activities. O/N in Resort.
Day 10: Full day Jungle Safari inside the park like as Elephant Ride, Jungle Walk, Crocodile Breeding Centre, Tharu Culture Museum, Bird Watching, Tharu village Tour. O/N in Resort.
Day 11: Drive from Bardiya National Park to Kathmandu by private car and transfer to Hotel. Refreshment.
Day 12: Full day sightseeing tour to Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Square by private car. O/N in Hotel.
Day 13: Departure to International Airport according to flight schedule.
