Itinerary in details
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and meet the SNFT representative at the airport and
transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and short briefing, relax.
Day 2: Sightseeing tour to Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Kopan Monastery,
Pashupatinath and Kathmandu Durbar Square by private car. Overnight in
Hotel.
Day 3: Drive to Changunarayan Temple with a private car, we visit the oldest
pagoda style temple which was listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
It has been constructed in 4th century. This temple is dedicated to Lord
Vishnu in his incarnation as Narayan. From there we walk to Nagarkot
which takes about 1 and half hour. This is a vantage point for panoramic
Himalayan scenery as well as unobstructed sunrise and sunset view. We
can also see the captivating landscapes and the Kathmandu Valley. Overnight in
Lodge.
Day 4: We walk from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel through scenicand dense forests with a
stunning view of the Langtang Range, the Jugal Himal and other snow capped
peaks. Dhulikhel is also a tourist paradise due to the fine panoramic view,
traditional Newari houses, and an ancient town with various Temples and
Buddhist Stupas. We will visit the town. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 5: We walk from Dhulikhel to Namobuddha through the ancient city of
Dhulikhel, passing the Hindu temple and pine forests, until reaching
Namobuddha. It is a highly recommended secret Buddhist pilgrimage
destination in Nepal, where Lord Buddha sacrificed his body to a hungry
tigress and its cubs. There is an amazing story concerned with the life of
Buddha which is commemorated by ancient stone slab and a Stupa with
the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 6: We walk from Namobuddha to Balthali passing the beautiful rice terraced
fields. Balthali is famous for its rich culture. Nature lovers and bird
watchers can spend days exploring and discovering some exceptional
species. the tradition and culture is really untouched by modernity. This 'off
the beaten location' has endless trails, leading to some ethnic tribes and
offering excellent short hikes and mountain biking. Overnight in Resort.
Day 7: We walk from Balthali to Khopasi and drive to Kathmandu with a private
car. We will visit the tallest 108 feet statue of Lord Shiva on the way in Sanga,
constructed at the initiative of Nepal’s Jain Community. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 8: Sightseeing Tour to Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Square with a private car.
Day 9: Sightseeing tour to Pharping with a private car. It is famous for the secret
site of Yangleshö and the Asura Cave, where the founder of Tibetan
Buddhism, Padmashambhava spend some time meditating and was revealing diffrent hidden texts called Termas. This are thetwo major practice caves in Pharping, blessed by GuruRinpoche. There
are several monasteries, temples and retreat centres in Pharping.We
will also visit the Dakshinkali temple dedicated to Goddess of Kali, the
fearful form of Lord Shiva’s consort, Parvati. The main deity in the temple is
the black stone, six-armed form of Kali, standing on a prostrated figure.
Overnight in Hotel.
Day 10: Departure to International Airport according to flight schedule.
