Kathmandu valley is from all sides surrounded by many hills and Shivapuri (2732m) is the second highest among them. The name Shivapuri is also taken to denote Nepal’s youngest National Park popularly known as “Shivapuri National Park” adjoining the capital city Kathmandu. Covering an area of 144 sq km the park territory extends from Kakani to the West and Chisapani to the East.
The whole of Shivapuri National Park area is equally suitable for our Trekking and Meditation Program, specially if you are short in time or if you don’t like to travel extensivly in Nepal. It is easy to combine with a more cultural exploration of the Kathmandu-Valley and offers you a fine impression of Nepal’s nature and some magnificent views of the Himalayan ridge in the distance.
We have choosen this short and not so difficould trek specially for newcomers into the trekking- and meditation-world of the Himalayas or those who like to combine a visit of the loud and crowded City of Kathmandu with some days of pure nature, peace and insight.
For those of you who would like to combine your trekking trip with few days of Yogic experiences, the Shivapuri MeditationTrek might be the perfect alternative. The Meditation classes are designed by well reputed Meditation teacher in such a way as to link up daytime trekking activities with your morning Meditation instruction. Constant mindfulness forms an important part of this programmed requiring you to be ever alert to your breathing no matter whether you are walking, sleeping or trekking.
.Making the time to take a simple yoga class and combining it with trekking and cultural experience activities can be a rewarding way to help one experience balance and more peace in life.

Itinerary in detail
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and meet with our SNFT representative at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and short briefing about Meditation program, the Tour and Trekking, relax.
Day 2: After a short morning-meditation and breakfast a full day sightseeing in the Kathmandu-Valley. After a visit of the Swayambhu Stupa will our Meditation Tour Guide take you on a magic trip to sacred places in Old-Kathmandu, which are usually not visited by tourists. While we walk through the narrow streets, you will get a lot of unexpected impressions. Let yourself be surprised. In the late afternoon we will visit Boudha-Stupa, also a place related to Padmasambhava and one of the holiest places of the Buddhist world. We will do our evening-meditation by circumbulancing the stupa together with thousands of Tibetan people. Transfers by private car, about 4 hours walking. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Budhanilkantha and trek to Shivapuri 2725m/6 hours,
In the morning wake up and drive from Hotel to Budhanilkantha after a short teaching and meditation. Then, walk ascent until reaching Shivapuri through the forest. Evening, Teaching/Meditation before Dinner, overnight at tented camp.
Day 4: Exploration and Jungle/Nature Walk,
In the morning wake up and Teaching/Meditation before Breakfast, Afternoon free time and short jungle walk and Evening Teaching/Meditation before Dinner, overnight at tented camp.
Day 5: Trek from Shivapuri to Chisopani 2215m/6 hours,
Morning wake up and Teaching/Meditation before Breakfast and have a breakfast. After breakfast, trek to Chisopani through the forest. Evening Teaching/Meditation before Dinner, overnight at tented camp.
Day 6: Exploration and Culture Tour,
Morning wake up and Teaching/Meditation before Breakfast, afternoon village and culture tour, Evening Teaching/Meditation before Dinner, overnight at tented camp.
Day 7: Trek from Chisopani to Sundarijal 6 hours
Morning wake up and Teaching/Meditation before Breakfast and have a breakfast at camp. Then, trek down to Sundarijal passing the picturesque Tamang Settlement and dense forest of Rhododendron forest, national flower of Nepal and drive back to Hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 8: Full day Sightseeing in Buddhist Monasteries and Caves in Pharping with our Tour Guide by private car and drive back to Hotel in Kathmandu. Meditation and teaching at selected spots. Lunch at privat house.
Day 9: After Morning Meditation and Teachings depending on your flight schedule transport to International Airport.

TOUR CANCELLATION:
There will be a cancellation fee of 25% for any cancellation three weeks prior to Tour departure date, 50% two weeks prior to Tour departure date and no refund thereafter. No refund for no shows & delay arrivals whatsoever reason.
