The Great Himalayan Trail Alpine Way Hard GHT (Ganesh Himal-Manaslu)

Section 5: From Syabrubesi to Besisahar via Larke-La Pass 5160m, Camping Trek 35 Days

Its beautiful mountains can be seen even from the Kathmandu Valley. Though the area is within easy access from Kathmandu, very few trekkers visit there. It is one of the precious areas where the simple life of the Himalayas can be still observed. Trek in the Ganesh Himal region are designed to introduce you to a broad spectrum of life mountain communities and breathtaking scenes. This course starts from Syabrubesi in the semitropical sun, goes up to a fairly high elevation, where a close view of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung can be enjoyed. The area is still beyond the reach of modern constructions and no lodge accommodations are available for the visitors. Experience the trekking area which lies on the central eastern region of Nepal still lucky to remain untouched by modern world. You are trekking in different part of world getting in contact with local people, unspoiled nature, widely cultural and traditions barrier, massive mountain close enough to touch. Getting at the high snowy pass leaving the clouds under you and greeting the massive mountains over 8000m, would not that be amazing. The Ganesh Himal is named after the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune. The Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV) stand out like crystal that is the "Great Himalayan Chain" forming the skyline. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Buri Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trishuli River in the lower section. The first glimpse of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung greets us, when we go crossing over the hills. Observe the different ways of inhabitation, and come in contact with different people following various caste, creed and culture, and thereby pass through the dense forest and meadows, crossing through high highlander pass, which offers an excellent view of the massif Ganesh Himal (7406m), Langtang (7300m), and many more are the day to day activities of the trek. The unusual climatic and geographical mix make this area a naturalist`s dream and a Mecca. Then, we are entering to Manaslu region after several traverses in Ganesh Himal valley. Now you are considered as one of the most challenging treks in Nepal, opened in 1992. This trek offers adventurous with an unparalleled Alpine experience, a combination of rich culture heritage, snow bound Larke-La Pass, beautiful landscapes, typical Tibetan settlements, waterfalls, bio diversity, ancient monasteries, stunning view of Manaslu and Annapurna Range, Glacier lake.  The name Manaslu means "The Spirit-Mountain" in the local dialect, referring to the benevolent and strong deity, which dwells within. Trekking in Manaslu is one of the most delightful adventures.  Trekking around Manaslu offers a unique opportunity to experience relatively "untouched" region of Nepal. It provides spectacular beauty along the border of Nepal and Tibet.

Nepal Rafting

Rafting is a great way to enjoy your time with family. Do not think you are too old for such stuff or that your child is too young for that. A river trip is different from any other vacations. Where else can you experience the thrill of passing through rapids, paddle waves, play sand volley-ball, relax on your own private sand beach accompanied by sounds of nature, enjoy delicious food cooked for you, and swap stories sitting by the candles on the sand all in the same day? And more over, you can experience all this together with your family!
