Lobuche West Peak Climbing, Camping 22 Days

Lobuche west peak is challenging trekking peaks in Everest region. Lobuche east peak is an attractive summit and offers various routes for climbing. The normal route for climbing is through South Ridge. Lobuche West peak consists of several small summits and the true summit requires climbing steep snow and ice slopes to the top from the summit ridge. The Lobuche West was recently opened by the NMA for the trekkers as well. The sharp ridged & snow areas of the mountain require the climbers to be roped and use crampons and ice axe. The team of experienced high altitude Sherpas assists and guides the group with the climb and a team of porters and low altitude Sherpas work for the organization of equipment, tents and food. The approach follows the "Gokyo Lake" itinerary, one of Nepal's most famous treks, through the Khumbu Mountains - Sherpa country. After a magnificent mountain flight to Lukla we follow the Dudh Kosi valley to Namche Bazaar. The trail to Gokyo is a gradual ascent up the valley passing through patches of birch and rhododendron forest where the elusive musk deer can sometimes be seen. Through small yak-grazing settlements we reach the Gokyo Lakes where we climb the Gokyo Ri (5480 m) and enjoy stunning summit mountain scenery including Everest, Makalu and Cho Oyo. After the Cho La pass, we reach Dzongla and further up the base camp. The climb includes some technical difficulties on quite steep (45 - 50 degree) snow/ice slopes and requires the use of fixed ropes. The views of Ama Dablam and Taweche are spectacular. After the Lobuche Peak ascent, we continue towards Gorak Shep and climb to Kala Pattar (5545 m) from where we enjoy an impressive up-close view of Everest. Our return route passes through Tengboche, a magnificent location with a fascinating monastery, where we rest and savor the incredible scenery, including magnificent views of Everest, Ama Dablam (6856m), Kantega (6809m), Kwangde (6194m), Nuptse (7879m), and Lhotse (8511m), to name but a few.

Outline Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmadu Airport and meet with SNFT representative at the airport, transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and short briefing about Peak Climbing program and Trekking, relax.

Day 2: Full day Sightseeing Tour to Kopan Monastery, Boudhanath Stupa and Swayambhunath Stupa with our well experienced Tour Guide by private car, equipment check and stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla 2840m/45mins and trek to Phakding 2610m/3hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazzar 3440m/6hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day; hike to Everest View Hotel and surrounding hills, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 6: Trek from Namche Bazzar to Dole 4110m/6hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 7: Trek from Dole to Machhermo 4470m/5hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 8: Trek from Machhermo to Gokyo 4790m/6hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 9: Acclimatization Day, hike to Gokyo Ri 5357m, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 10: Trek from Gokyo to Dragnag 4700m/3hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 11: Trek from Dragnag to Lobuche West Peak Base Camp 4980m/7hrs via Cho-La Pass 5368m, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 12: Trek from Base Camp to High Camp 5400m/5hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 13: Summit to Lobuche West Peak 6135m and back to Base Camp 4980m/8hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 14: Reserve Day for climbing due to bad weather, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 15: Trek from Base Camp to Gorak-Shep 5140m/5hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 16: Hike to Kala Patthar 5550m and back to Pheriche 4240m/6hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 17: Trek from Pheriche to Tengboche 3860m/5hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 18: Trek from Tengboche to Namche Bazzar 3440m/6hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 19: Trek from Namche Bazzar to Lukla 2840m/7hrs, stay overnight at tented camp.

Day 20: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel. Refreshment and relax.

Day 21: Half day Sightseeing in Pashupatinath Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square with our Tour Guide by private car, stay overnight in Hotel.

Day 22: Final Departure to Kathmandu International Airport for your further Destination.
