Kwangde Peak Climbing, 17 Days

Days: 17 / Difficulty: 5 of 5 (Very Strenuous)
Min Group Size: 2 / Max Group Size: 8

Kwangde Peak, while it offers a great many treats, is one of the toughest peaks to climb. The Kwangde Peak Climbing traverses through Sherpa settlements, valleys and forested landscapes and concludes on the summit of the peak itself. The trekkers are rewarded with the magnificent views of the mountains like Ama Dablam (6856m), Makalu (8463), Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8188m), and the Rolwaling peaks.

Kwangde Peak Climbing starts with a scenic flight to Lukla and trekking starts from Phakding. We head towards Lumding Kharka via Yak Kharka and begin to notice the change in vegetation and settlements. The climate becomes harsher and alpine vegetation becomes prevalent. The climb to the summit is a rigorous task yet this is what makes the experience more exciting. The view from the top of the Kongde peak is remarkable and presents the mountains of the Everest region in an emphatic manner. It is one of the most beautiful adventure peak climbs which challenges many adventure lover with its difficult climbing route. The trail offers us with the beautiful and rich Sherpa culture, difficult landscapes, and diverse vegetation’s. This peak is rarely visited by the trekkers due to the exhausting nature of the climb. The northern face is more difficult to ascend than the southern face so it has not yet been commercialized as a famous trekking route. It is best suited for experienced climbers who seek rarely climbed and challenging peaks in the Himalaya of Nepal. The peak climbing, although a challenging one, is every bit worth the toil one undergoes along the journey.
