CLASSICAL MUKTINATH TREK, Lodge Trek, 14 Days
This is a general itinerary, which can always individually be “tailormade”. It is still a beautiful trek, especially if you go with children and want to enjoy some horse riding.
Itinerary in detail
Day 1; Arrival in Kathmandu (1310m)
You will be picked up by SNFT staff from the airport and transferred to the hotel. That will take us about 20 min (ca.7km), depends on the traffic also.Welcome drink, Stay overnight at the Hotel.
Day 2; Drive to Pokhara (910m)
The nicest way to see the outside of the valley, is a comfortable busdrive, with Greenline. Transfer to Hotel. Exploring the lakeside.
Day 3; Flight to Jomsom (2665m) and trek to Kagbeni (2800m)
We will take an early morning flight (25 to 30min) to Jomsom. Have breakfast (while the horses get packed, if any) and start trek to Kagbeni (2750m). It leads you through a large riverbed, where you’ll find nice stones for the collection and sometimes even real fossils. Children have especially "good" eyes to discover all these varieties of treasures given by nature. We will walk for about 3-4 hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 4; Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3802m)
We are walking between mountains and enjoy the different fauna and flora, sandy ways and huge rockwalls. Muktinath will be the highest point on this trek, so today it is the hardest day, but totally worth it. We trek for ca. 5 to 6 hours. Overnight at a very cozy Guesthouse.
Day 5; Muktinath to Marpha (2750m) via Jomson
It’s all down, down, down….About 4 to 5hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 6; Marpha 2600m to Kalopani
Walking about 3-4 hours. Overnight at Guesthouse.
Day 7; Kalopani to Tatopani (1100m)
we will be treated with a nice hot bath in the natural hot spring. Tatopani means literally ‘hot water’. Over night in Guesthouse.
Day 8; Tatopani to Sikha 1935m
5 to 6 hours to Sikha. Overnight in Guesthouse.
Day 9; Sikha to Ghorepani (2834m)
It’s going up again, but only for about 4 to 5 hours. Overnight in Guesthouse.
Day 10; Ghorepani to Poonhill (3210m) and down to Tadapani (2520m)
We climb the last hill today and go down to Tadapani. Time 6 to 7 hours. Overnight in Guesthouse.
Day 11; Tadapani to Ghaundrung (1950m)
Down walking for 3 to 4 hours. Overnight in Guesthouse.
Day 12; Ghaundrung to Nayapul (1070m) and drive to Pokhara
We walk to Nayapul for 5-6 hours where our car is waiting for us and drive back to Pokhara.
relax, relax, relax….. you have earned it!
Day 13; Back to Kathmandu
Drive back to Kathmandu by Greenline Bus and transfer to Hotel.
Day 14; Free day for shopping and transfer to International Airport at your desired time. Final departure to international airport.
Our Tour Package Includes:

Doesn't include:
* Any meals in Kathmandu other than breakfast.
* Travel insurance.
* International air fare to and from Nepal.
* Nepal Tourist Visa fee.
* Items and expenses of personal nature.
* Any kind of alcoholic drinks, cold drinks, snacks, laundry, phone call, internet.
* Personal trekking equipment.
* Any costs which arise due to a change of the itinerary, because of landslides, political disturbance, and
strikes etc.
* Any other costs whatsoever, that is not mentioned in the cost included.
* Horse renting and additional porters due to natural calamities during the trek.
* Tips for guide, porters, driver...
Tipping is expected but it is not mandatory.

Note: In case of emergency during the trip, Helicopter will be arranged by Swiss Nepal Family Trekking & Expedition (P) Ltd. The charges though must be paid by the clients themselves.

TOUR CANCELLATION:
There will be a cancellation fee of 25% for any cancellation three weeks prior to Tour departure date, 50% two weeks prior to Tour departure date and no refund thereafter. No refund for no shows & delay arrivals whatsoever reason.
